Officially the Alcohol server training. Your manager probably called it server training.

Delaware requires alcohol server training for anyone who serves, prepares or delivers alcohol, and for supervisors. The certification lasts two years, lowered from four by HB 195 in 2025. Delaware's 30 day and 10 hour a week rule defines who counts as an employee: it is not a deadline.

What the other sites get wrong
- Delaware defines "employee" as 30 or more days and 10 or more hours a week. That is the definition of who is covered, not a deadline to get certified: pages presenting it as a 30 day deadline are misreading the code.

Common questions
Is it four years or two?
Two. HB 195 lowered it in 2025. Pages still saying four years are quoting the rule as it was before that change, which is one of the errors we documented in this niche.
Do I have 30 days to get certified?
No, and this is a misreading you will see repeated. The 30 days and 10 hours a week is Delaware's definition of who counts as an employee under the chapter. It says who is covered, not when you have to be done.
